Weekly Update to June 13

The past week or so hasn't been that exciting. You know, we aren't travelling or carousing all the time. But it has been a good week.
First of all, we finally got some significant rain. The plants and forest are happy and most importantly the fire ban is lifted. In fact, Wayne is chopping firewood as I draft this blog. Today is bright and sunny, but cool with a bit of a nip in the air - just the way we like it.

I'm still heading into Huntsville 3 times a week for physio and Wayne had a followup trip to the dentist. Next week, I have a recheck with the doctor in Guelph. Hope that concludes our medical and dental appointments. Physio seems to be loosening and strengthening my ankle tendon. So its all good.

I was in a very crafty mood - sewing a table runner and completing a quilt square that I began in January. The quilt square was transformed into a toss cushion for the sofa.

Seeing as how today was such a gorgeous one, we decided to venture out onto the lake.  We toured all of Doe Lake (Little, Middle and Big)  By the time we turned back towards home, the lake was getting sort of rough.  Always seems to go that way.  I took about 100 pictures.  Next trip we'll head up the Magnetewan River.  It's so nice to have the option of  river when the lake is rough.
