What A Week!!

We had a fabulous time with all 43 friends and relatives.  What a party!  The wedding was great! But there won't be any pictures until Ian and Amy are home (they have a second week for honeymoon) and post the first photos.  Don't want to steal their thunder.  So for the rest of the trip:

Some of our fellow beach dwellers:

Amy and Ian

Jovana, Matt and me
Kathy
Wayne L dancing the night away
Daniela, Andrea and Amanda

Vince - Daniela's brother
Wayne with Elvis (social director) and Adelmo - childhood friend
Wayne and Nancy - childhood friend
Bob and Donna - Amy's parents

Ian and Shannon - Amy's sister
We spent time at the beach:

Hi I'm from Canada

Red flag - no swimming today
And at the pool:

Some of us went on a catamaran tour.  The outing included stops at a dolphinarium, and a private island - Cayo Blanco for lunch and beach time.  The boat also stopped for snorkeling.  It was a wonderful day, especially as it was Amy's birthday.  She has wanted to interact with dolphins since she was a small girl.  Strike that off the bucket list.

Nemo - He's 3 years old

Could she be any happier?

Heading home

The resort was very nice. Food was good. Bread was homemade daily and delicious. There were two speciality restaurants - Japanese and Cuban. We ate at both. Champagne flowed freely. The rooms were pretty nice not like Canadian but nice. Bathrooms had lovely blue tiling on the walls. Our maid created lots of towel sculptures.

Most of the younger members of our group have tattoos.  Wayne felt left out - but not for long.

Vive Cuba!!
