Busy Week. I keep waiting for things to settle down. But we seem to keep pretty active. Someday I need to find time to defrost the fridge and thoroughly dust.
Nanaimo seems to have a pirate theme. I wonder if smuggling is in the history of the town. This pirate stands outside the harbour chandler's store. Dad, you would love this store. It's full of boat stuff and parts. We were looking for some fishing line to restring our blinds.
Each week, Wayne and I are taking acquacize classes at the community pool complex. It also has a pirate theme.
This pool is very large and includes a small pirate ship water slide for little kids, a three story water slide for older kids and a lazy river walk. The river walk has a current and varying depths of water. It produces plenty of resistance when walking the loop.
There are three other pools of various sizes and depths. One pool is strictly for swimming laps. The medium pool is where we have our class. The third pool is shallower and has jets that can be on or off. The complex also has a 15 person hot tub, steam room and sauna. It's a great place. We have lots of fun there.

Last Friday, we went out for lunch with our neighbours - Carol and Bob. We went to the Crow & Gate Pub. It's out in the country about 20 minutes from our campground. The original owner was British. He designed the pub to copy a traditional English. It's very authentic and picturesque. We had a great lunch and lots of fun.
