Out on the Lake

Monday afternoon we decided to play hookie from building the shed and went for a boat ride. It was an absolutely gorgeous day on the lake. Nice and calm, sun shining and a gentle breeze. With a full tank of gas, we decided to venture onto Big Doe Lake and look for the Girl Guide Camp. Megan (a young friend of ours) is soon going to camp. We wondered exactly where it was. After asking directions from some people lounging on a dock, we found the camp. It looks very nice and I'm sure Megan will have a good time.

Grey clouds began to develop so we headed back to Little Doe Lake. On the way back to our dock, Wayne noticed a boat with a tuber behind dead in the water. We went closer and the driver, a grandfather with his three grandkids (2 in boat, 1 in tube) said that he flooded the motor. He was trying to paddle back to the dock with little success. We tossed him a rope and towed them about 4 cottages up to their dock. We looked pretty funny. Our 14 ft aluminum fishing boat with a 15 horse motor, towing a speedboat complete with tuber. Quite the convoy.

Today Wayne caulked all the seams on the shed and is now in the gazebo sleeping. I cleaned and vacuumed the trailer. Just about time to make spaghetti and meatballs for supper.

As soon as I find camera, I will post some pictures.
